The video is missing information like that Yellowstone is just another hotspot like Hawaii and Iceland just that it is under a continental crust so it explodes with more force and material but at the end of the day the hotspot is currently right under the park so it has an easy path to the surface, only when North American plate moves to the point that the causes a path of least resistance to erupt in a new location on the crust would it explode like described, this is actually falling in chance as North America is moving much slower than in the past.
