Australian media hipe as usual, we didn't shut the gate to UK 2001 when FMD was rampant, media here just loves to stick the boot in to Indonesia when they get the opportunity…. James, Newcastle NSW
👍👍👍👍👍 mantap
Thanks Bruce….busy busy as always……there is quite a strong push in Australia from farmers and some politicians to halt flights to and from Bali….FMD Will indeed cause big problem if it enters australia….some extra AirPort bio security measures Will help considerably…small inconvenience if our footwear must be sanitised at the AirPort…my observatiions of mask wearing in Lovina….locals 60-70%….bules 5-10%….stay safe…👍
Great view. I have had the two initial Pfizer shots and a Pfizer booster and a Moderna booster. Other than a sore arm, neither myself, wife, or children had a reaction to the vaccine. We live in the DC metropolitan area. Few are wearing masks here and our numbers keep going up and down. We keep wearing out masks and have reduced our eating out at restaurants. Masks do more than vaccines to protect us from COVID. Shame so many are so immature and self-absorbed and refuse to wear them. Global use could have ended this over a year ago.
Hi Bruce thanks for update.
Temp Norwich U.K. 36.4 humidity only 24!! Dam hot 🥵 Roll on September then we’ll be back in Bali. Oh love your shirt ❤️
No Covid restrictions in Denmark since Feb. 1, 22. We don't expect any restrictions to be implementet even though BA4 and BA5 is increasing a bit. Only few people get seriously ill from it. Hopefully Indonesia will not implement quarantine again, I would hate to spent 5 or more days in a hotel and not being able to go out. Plan to arrive to Jakarta late August.
Thanks Bruce for info. Stay safe
Ohhh damn I am stressed out! Do you think bali Will close down again? Going to bali in september.. in denmark everything is just fine..
Thanks Bruce. It’s freezing cold in Adelaide only 13degrees today. Looking forward to Bali sunshine in September.
7 day quarantine, what a joke these australian politicians have become they truly have lost the plot, people don't carry the virus, it can only be brought in on footwear clothing etc and animal products if you have been in a contaminated area. And may only last 24 hours on that surface.
Hi Bruce FMD is a genuine concern though McDonald & Littleproud are National Party members now in opposition since the May federal election. The National Party is a rural party & junior partner in coalition with the Liberals. Littleproud was recently elected as party leader. They could be pandering to their constituents or trying to wind up the new government. I have only heard the occasional farmer wanting to ban flights from Bali. The media finds them. Banning flights is not going to happen.
Traditionally quarantine has been rigorous here though I’m unsure if it is still in the governments hands or if it has been privatised. If its the latter its a bit of a worry. Privatisation has cost us in so many ways including QANTAS. Cheers Kieron.
Hi Bruce this in todays papers in Australia Agriculture Minister Murray Watt revealed on Wednesday that a beef product containing the foot and mouth disease virus had been detected at an Australian airport, brought by a passenger from Indonesia.
Pork products that were for sale in the Melbourne CBD were also found during routine inspections to be infected with both foot and mouth disease and African swine fever – another livestock disease that has not previously circulated among animals in Australia.
“We have detected Foot and Mouth Disease and African swine fever viral fragments in a small number of pork products for sale in the Melbourne CBD that were imported from China,” Watt said on Wednesday.
Hoorah 2 more car free days in Indonesia! Let the people breathe!
