After 15 years of spending their winters in Florida, a snowbird couple say they are ready to fly home for good.
The husband and wife from New Brunswick say growing anti-Canadian sentiment and looming legislative changes contributed to their decision to leave the snowbird life behind.

Just got back from a month in Florida visiting parents. Treated well everywhere I went. Many locals even apologized for their president's behaviour. I guess my story doesnt fit the media's current narrative

I am a U.S. citizen married to a lovely Canadian woman. We have 3 beautiful children. I wouldn’t put up with anyone being nasty to my family or any Canadians for that matter.
I would rather my wife and kids not see that side of me.
With that said booing our National Anthem at Hockey games just fuels the fire.

Lots of Canadians are not going back to U.S. many of them will be going elsewhere. The U.S. is going to suffer a lower economy. You reap what you sow.
Been in Florida for many winters now . See no difference in the way we are treated by others . Can’t wait to return in October . We have many American friends who treat us as they always have. Unfortunately all the negativity I hear is from people who never visit America anyway. Our community in Florida has about a dozen Canadian couples that I happen to know and I have heard of none of them not returning.
I am an Albertan thinking of moving to Florida. I completely reject Canada and would be happy to renounce citizenship, at least socially.

I can't believe some Canadians are treasonous to spend their vacation in the US. I sure canceled my Florida vacation and went to Latin America instead. Best decision in my life. Canadians welcome, English and French spoken, safe environment, top notch equipment (resort with 21 restaurants and 14 swimming pools), Canadian $$ accepted nearly everywhere, not cheap but reasonably priced. FAST customs. Some idiots will never get it right. Leave the US it urges.
