The legal court and officials counting the votes aren’t elected into their offices. They are a separate branch of government, like the military. That’s actually an important distinction from democracies such as the United States. Canada has a separate judicial system from the legislature, executive, and yes, the military. That’s what makes these rulings easier to rely on. That and we still have a free press here in Canada.
