A Surrey, B.C., business owner targeted in ongoing extortion attempts in the region says police and the province still aren’t doing enough to break up the dangerous shakedowns.
It comes a day after police announced two arrests related to the extortion racket, but RCMP confirmed Friday that the suspects have already been released without charge.
At a press conference Thursday, police refused to share any specific details about the suspects, including age, sex or their status in Canada.
As Rumina Daya reports, business owner Satish Kumar said he was “very frustrated” with the press conference.

In the case of extortion, bail should not be permitted given the obvious risk of violence to the extortion victims. Judges have become modern day monsters, worse even than Nazis.

Rumina – Why does it matter at this stage if they are Canadian citizens or not? If no one was charged, it's because the charge approval standard wasn't met within the 24 hour time limit. The quality of the investigation and the evidence is responsibility of police. It isn't a failure in the criminal legal system.

I wholeheartedly agree with Mr. Satish Kumar's allegations that law in Canada has become a joke for the Criminal Gangs. There was absolutely no need to arrange a press conference if there was no concrete evidence against the duo police had arrested.
They didn’t do it right, so the Government let them out to try again.
This has been happening from the day one. First it was Irish gangs, then italian Mafia, later vietnamese triads. They were all criminal enterprises. But this current one is being pushed by a foreign government which is a controls population with gangsters and they're trying to spill it over to other countries. Sadly, our government is more interested in doing trade with them than the safety of its citizens. All political parties are to blame for this.

Crime is ongoing in canada very strong and no signs of stopping or slowing down it's hard to pinpoint the corruption in our courts and laws but does appear to be corrupt judges and prosecutors seem to be very lenient on people committing crimes and in a lot of cases violent crimes why this is happening must be investigated and must be dealt with why have judges or prosecutors if they don't up hold the law
Police are only there to enforce taxes, not to protect you.
