India’s air accident investigation bureau’s preliminary report into the Air India disaster has been published. It found that both fuel control switches were in the cut-off position – a step that turns off the engines – moments before the plane crashed.
More than 270 people died in the disaster when the Boeing Dreamliner 787 crashed moments after take off from Ahmedabad in India heading from the UK’s Gatwick Airport.
According to the report, the cockpit voice recording captures one pilot asking the other why he ‘did the cut-off’, to which the person replies that he didn’t. The recording doesn’t clarify who said what.
The passenger jet came down in a densely-populated area less than a minute after clearing the runway, causing devastation and many deaths onthe ground.

in these times of deep-fake audio/ video technology, one can never be sure about the evidences released. one can never expect a real investigation, when corrupt leaders/ corporate ruling the systems, RIP. also apart from quality issues with boeing, many accuse boeing/ america for secretly implementing, satellite operated remote- control systems/ computer coding on these aircraft. i feel it is quite easy to sabotage fly-by-wire control systems of these days.

Many think fuel valves can only be closed using fuel switches, but in fact, the EEC can cut off fuel independently. The switches don’t directly control fuel flow.

"no significant fault of the plane/Boeing." by this statement proof itself to be the root cause of the incident. Much work need to be investigated the plane's software to chip as issue by the manufacturer service bulletin before the crash . so, it is not of any question that BOTH switches were deliberately manipulated. whether it was the copilot or pilot, we will never know. so, why don't cockpits have cameras? DUHR~ i mean wtf? should be standard. interesting that one expert has speculated that the one who asked 'why did you cut off the fuel switches?' was most likely the one to have done it in order to place blame on the other. after all, he knew there were only moments before impact. mental health awareness alert.
