Jakarta (ANTARA) – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto arrived back in the homeland via Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base in Jakarta after concluding official visits to Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Belgium, France, and Belarus since July 1, 2025.

“Praise be to God, I have returned to the homeland after spending quite a long time abroad—around 15 days if I’m not mistaken. Thank God, my lengthy diplomatic tour has led to favorable results,” he told the press at the air base on Wednesday.

Based on ANTARA’s observation, the Indonesia-1 Presidential Aircraft carrying President Prabowo and his entourage landed at the air base at 2:55 p.m. local time.

Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka welcomed the head of state alongside Foreign Affairs Minister Sugiono, State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, Chief of the National Police (Polri) General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and House of Representatives (DPR) Deputy Speaker Sufmi Dasco Ahmad.

Dressed in a khaki safari jacket and black peci hat, the president immediately greeted and shook hands with the officials upon stepping off the aircraft. Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya accompanied him on his flight to Jakarta.

President Prabowo began his diplomatic tour with a visit to Saudi Arabia, where he met with Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman (MBS).

During their meeting in Jeddah on July 2, the governments of Indonesia and Saudi Arabia agreed to support investment projects worth US$27 billion covering clean energy, petrochemicals, and aviation fuel services, among others.

Prabowo and MBS also signed the Minutes of Meeting for the Indonesia–Saudi Arabia High Coordination Council.

After concluding the Saudi Arabia leg of his tour, the Indonesian president flew to Brazil, where he attended the 17th BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro, marking Indonesia’s first participation since joining BRICS earlier this year.

The summit produced the Rio de Janeiro Declaration, which emphasized BRICS leaders’ commitment to advancing global cooperation on shared concerns such as global governance reform, world peace and stability, climate change, human development, and economic partnerships.

Prabowo also held a bilateral meeting with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in Brasília, where they reached agreements on cooperation in missile technology development, submarine systems, and other fields.

From Brazil, he flew to Brussels, Belgium, marking his first visit to Europe as Indonesian president. There he met with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and King Philippe of Belgium on July 13.

During a joint press conference with von der Leyen, Prabowo announced the conclusion of 10 years of negotiations on the Indonesia-European Union Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement.

He was also received for a one-on-one meeting with King Philippe in the monarch’s private chamber, where they discussed ways to strengthen bilateral ties.

Prabowo continued his European tour with a visit to Paris, France, where he and French President Emmanuel Macron observed a military parade led by an Indonesian troop during Bastille Day celebrations on July 14.

This occasion was followed by a private dinner between the two presidents at the Élysée Palace the same day.

On his way back to Jakarta, President Prabowo also visited Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko at his residence in Minsk, where they held a three-hour meeting.
