According to the official MotoGP website on Friday, Dorna Sports, the MotoGP promoter, confirmed that the Indonesian Grand Prix is scheduled for October 11, positioned between the Japanese round in Motegi (October 4) and the Australian round in Phillip Island (October 25).
As part of the Asia-Pacific flyaway series, Mandalika is among the last four races before the season finale in Valencia, Spain (November 22).
This scheduling places the Indonesian GP as a potentially decisive round that could influence the final standings, especially if the championship battle remains close.

The Indonesian GP has held a similar place in the calendar from 2023 through 2025. Mandalika typically serves as the 15th to 18th round in a 20–22 race season, making it a key race in shaping both the riders’ and constructors’ standings.
Beyond technical factors, the circuit’s challenging layout and unpredictable weather conditions often play a major role in the performance of top teams, particularly in the closing phase of the season.
Organizers view Mandalika as a vital destination in the MotoGP calendar, supported by ongoing improvements in infrastructure, including better accessibility and increased accommodation capacity within the Mandalika tourism zone.
In addition, the strong enthusiasm from fans during the past two editions has been a major factor in retaining Indonesia as a MotoGP host.
