According to the Indonesian trade attaché in Bangkok, Rafika Arfani, the Indonesian Pavilion drew strong interest from international buyers, particularly for leading lifestyle products such as fashion, cosmetics, food and beverages, and home decor.
“The diversity of products shown reflects Indonesia’s readiness to lead the evolution of the halal industry, which is no longer limited to just food and beverages,” she said in a statement issued in Jakarta on Thursday.
She added that Indonesia’s participation in the exhibition also served as a form of economic diplomacy to showcase its advanced halal industry.
“The strong enthusiasm from potential Thai business partners and exhibition visitors signals a modern, creative, and highly competitive image of Indonesia’s halal industry,” Arfani stated.
Meanwhile, the Indonesian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand, Rachmat Budiman, said that participating in the exhibition was a strategic move to further promote Indonesia’s halal products.
According to Budiman, Indonesia’s halal sector has immense potential and intersects strongly with the lifestyle as well as the food and beverage sectors.
“The positive response we received proves the recognition of the quality and creativity of Indonesian products on the global stage,” he said.
