The Indonesian Embassy in Paris opened its doors to visitors for the first time during the event, aligning with the European tradition of granting public access to historical and cultural sites typically closed to the public.
Journées du Patrimoine, or Heritage Days, is an annual tradition in France and Europe that provides public access to various historical sites, institutions, and buildings normally closed to the public.
In a press release on Sunday, the embassy said the participation aimed to foster friendship and deepen bilateral relations through culture and art.
During the event, the Indonesian Embassy in Paris hosted a photo exhibition commemorating the historic moment when President Prabowo Subianto attended as a guest of honor at the French National Day on July 14, 2025.

Indonesia’s presence at the event celebrated in Europe marks the strong friendship between th two nations and is part of a series of celebrations commemorating the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and France.
The Indonesian Embassy in Paris also showcased the rich cultural heritage of Nusantara, including the Borobudur, Batik, and kebaya exhibitions, as well as various Indonesian coffee varieties, and various Indonesian creative works.
The Borobudur exhibition showcases the splendor of the temple, which has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1991. The Batik exhibition highlights the beauty of batik motifs and traditions, recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2009.
Visitors can also enjoy an interactive experience through a photo booth featuring traditional clothing, including kebaya, and sample a variety of Indonesian coffees from Gayo, Mandailing, Toraja, Kintamani, and Java, reflecting the richness of Nusantara’s biodiversity and culture.
In addition, the Indonesian Embassy in Paris also displayed paintings by Indonesian artists, including Jeihan Sukmantoro, Mochtar Apin, Salim, I Nyoman Gunarsa, and Henk Ngantung, to further introduce Indonesian creative works to visitors.
