Hollywood is hesitating to roll out the red carpet for Tilly Norwood, an “actress” made from artificial intelligence (AI).
Norwood was created by Xicoia, a company that bills itself as the world’s first AI talent studio.

Let me get this straight: If I, as a person, train to be an actor by watching other actor performances, that's not theft; but if an AI character does the same thing, then that is theft. Please explain. Again, my fervent hope is that AI destroys Hollywood into a complete shambles so that there's nothing left.

To be fair, there's a lot of movies without physically appearing actors. It's called animation or CGI. The actors just provide the voices and sometimes motion capture.
This is basically just a new mix of CGI and animation.
Wonder how far they'll take it.
Actors can license their likeness and their voices for AI production, basically live forever in the form of these videos. They don't stay young. They grow old, used up, etc. Imagine a full portfolio of an aged actor, who licenses likeness for different ages in their lives. No. It's not the end. It's really only the beginning. Sure you can create Tilly's to your hearts delight. But established actors can demand a price to be used in movies and for script approval etc. It opens up a whole new avenue for them as they age out. There is nothing we can do to stop it. So why not embrace it and make it work for us?
