The inauguration followed Presidential Decree (Keppres) No. 112/P of 2025 on ambassadorial appointments and Keppres No. 113/P of 2025 on the appointment of the deputy ambassador.
The ceremony began with the national anthem “Indonesia Raya,” followed by the reading of the presidential decrees and the names of the appointees.
Prabowo then led the diplomats in taking the oath of office and loyalty to the state.
“I pledge my loyalty to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will abide by all applicable laws to the best of my efforts,” the president declared, echoed by the newly appointed diplomats.
The ambassadors inaugurated were:
- Lukman Hakim Siregar (Syria)
- Hotmangaradja Panjaitan (Singapore)
- Laurentius Amrih Jinangkung (Netherlands)
- Adam Mulawarman Tugio (Vietnam)
- Andy Rachmianto (Belgium, Luxembourg, and the European Union)
- Kuncoro Giri Waseso (Egypt)
- Berlian Helmy (Azerbaijan)
- Raden Dato Mohammad Imam Hascarya (Malaysia)
- Listyowati (Bangladesh and Nepal)
- Syahda Guruh Langkah Samudera (Qatar)
Irene was appointed as Deputy Ambassador to China, assisting Ambassador Djauhari Oratmangoen.
Several Cabinet members attended the ceremony, including Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Djamari Chaniago, Foreign Minister Sugiono, and Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa.
Also present were People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) Speaker Ahmad Muzani, House of Representatives (DPR) Speaker Puan Maharani, DPR Deputy Speaker Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, National Armed Forces (TNI) Commander General Agus Subiyanto, and Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin.
