The ministry’s Secretary General Didyk Choiroel said in a statement on Friday that the government is intensifying public awareness of the KPP to support the target.
KPP provides working capital and investment loans to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to strengthen priority programs in the housing sector.
Choiroel explained that the program’s target groups, funding purposes, and simplified requirements are designed to help MSMEs and the public build or renovate homes, contributing to the 3 million houses goal.
To qualify, applicants — individuals or legal entities — must be Indonesian citizens, operate productive and viable businesses, possess a taxpayer identification number (NPWP) and business identification number (NIB), and have run their business for at least six months.
Applicants must have no negative records verified through trade, community, or bank checks under the Financial Information Service System (SLIK) or the Credit Information Management Institution (LPIP).
They cannot receive Smallholder Business Credit (KUR) or other housing credit programs simultaneously but may hold performing commercial loans.
The primary collateral for the loan is the object financed by KPP, while additional collateral may be required according to the lender’s policy.
KPP eligibility is classified by business capital and annual revenue: micro enterprises have up to Rp1 billion (over US$60,000) in capital or Rp2 billion in sales; small enterprises range from Rp1–5 billion in capital or Rp2–15 billion in sales; and medium enterprises from Rp5–10 billion in capital or Rp15–50 billion in sales.
