Wijaya said on Instagram that Gibran reported the summit outcomes to follow up on agreements and international cooperation discussed in Johannesburg.
Gibran attended the summit on November 22–23, leading Indonesia’s delegation as instructed by President Prabowo, participating in plenary sessions and high-level meetings on food resilience, digital economy, and artificial intelligence.
Wijaya noted that Gibran emphasized Indonesia’s commitment to equitable technology access and a fair global partnership, also conveying warm greetings from world leaders to President Prabowo.
During three summit sessions, Gibran stressed the need for a fair global financing system, including debt relief and innovative financing mechanisms.
He also highlighted Indonesia’s efforts to build sustainable resilience against disaster risks and initiatives on climate and disaster preparedness.
Gibran addressed the role of artificial intelligence and critical minerals in energy, high-tech industries, and called for G20 discussions on AI governance.
On the sidelines, he joined the MIKTA group meeting with Mexico, South Korea, Turkey, and Australia, and held bilateral talks with several national and organizational leaders.
