The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Third Meeting of the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors in South Africa.
“We followed up on the outcomes of the state visit between President Prabowo and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman earlier this July, especially concerning efforts to strengthen cooperation in improving Hajj and Umrah services for Indonesian pilgrims,” Indrawati said here on Friday.
In a post on her official Instagram account @smindrawati on Friday, she also expressed her agreement with Minister Al-Jadaan on the importance of the G20’s role amid current geopolitical tensions.
She said that the bloc must return to its original purpose of a forum that prioritizes multilateralism over unilateralism.
During the meeting, Minister Al-Jadaan also extended an invitation to Indonesia to participate in Expo 2030, which will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Indrawati described the invite as a sign of honor and trust from Saudi Arabia, which considers Indonesia a strategic partner.
“Quoting Minister Al-Jadaan, ‘it just confirms that the relationship is not only strong, but it actually can grow even more,’” she remarked.
As reported earlier, President Prabowo and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman have agreed to strengthen cooperation in improving healthcare facilities and enhancing Hajj services for Indonesian pilgrims.
In addition, both nations have also committed to promoting investment in the broader health sector.
The health collaboration will cover areas such as the pharmaceutical industry, vaccine production, human resource development, and health technology that supports services for pilgrims.
Prabowo and the Crown Prince also discussed expanding cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, investment, and energy.
Both countries have agreed to support each other’s national visions: Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and Indonesia’s Golden Indonesia 2045.
