Global News anchor and reporter Robin Gill hosted her final broadcast of Global National on Sunday as she leaves the network after 21 years, heading off for a new adventure outside the world of journalism.
Global News paid tribute to the long-time journalist and given the connection she’s made to the viewers, Dawna Friesen took a look back at her work and her commitment to telling the stories of Canadians enduring and overcoming hardship.
And Gill also spoke about her own time with the network and her 27-year long career in journalism.

Several people left local media who were long term. I hope it's because they followed their good conscience. We'll never know for sure since corporations have their legal department make sure there's a gag order in place, otherwise no severance. Maybe one day, before it's too late, they will disclose what's behind the curtain.
