Countries set their tourist Visas and quota limits. Tourists are people who are spending their valuable time, money and energy to visit because they already had an appreciation and curiosity about your country. Your response however is to be a total embarrassment for your country and culture by targeting them because you don't even understand your own political system and that it's your own government policies that need to be changed is beyond stupid.

  19. @JIMMY_NEMESIS says:

    I guess Spain doesn't need a tourism economy 😅

I blame Instagram and TikTok solely for the influx of 'bragging tourism' – idiots who travel for the sole purpose of taking that iconic photo so they can post it. Before the pandemic people used to travel for travel's sake.

  24. @rebeccans7729 says:

people all over the world blame eachother and not the governments. I will never understand it

  25. @verliz_lesbis8233 says:

Spaniard here, we don' hate tourist and we know its not their fault, most people we don't have time to go to protests but we can't make ends meet… this tourism money goes to very few people, the rest we make 1000€ a month or less after taxes and then we have to pay housing, etc… protest are made for tourist and gouvenment to see we can't take it. But we do not want a tourist country, we want what we had, community and tourist being a part of it, not low salaries and having to smile because we are human

Tourist (even local tourist), increases the prices in all areas. That is how the money works. And business people love it except ordinary local people.
Ban China, they buy a lot of land and housing properties in foreign land and monopolies the prices. They’re all systematic and that is the dangerous part of it.

  28. @aymenmisawi1978 says:

It's not the tourist they should be angry. The tourists don't make the laws in the country. They have no power, it's the governing bodies. It's the people who allow international buyers to spike up the prices.

  33. @zoolander7201 says:

    Have Airbnb removed, problem solved.

  34. @williamgregory1848 says:

It’s a double edged sword: tourism brings in money, but mass tourism ruins the charm of a place.

  35. @consumebeef5900 says:

Spanish people on their way to protest tourists who spend a few weeks in spain and then go home while simultaneously accepting hundreds and thousands of migrants to live permanently in their country LMAOOOOO

Do they shoot water pistols at the 300,000 "undocumented immigrants" coming ashore in Spain every year? I'm sure they have nothing at all to do with housing shortages, scarcity of services and other quality of life issues.

So hotels need to start combining rooms into family friendly spacea ie combine 2 rooms or 3 to make family suites and charge more people just want to stay together in the same space not walk down a hallway to visit family in a small hotel room
