Tsunami warnings and evacuations are underway throughout the Pacific following a magnitude 8.8 earthquake that struck off the coast of Russia.
Outside of Russia, the highest tsunami wave recorded reached about a meter in Ishinomaki, Japan.
Similar warnings are in place for Hawaii, the Philippines and Indonesia, where smaller waves are expected, as well as for American Samoa, Tonga, and Guam.
