The talks, held in the mansion’s main hall, brought together Indonesian and British environmental philanthropists.
The discussion reflected King Charles’ longstanding role as patron of the international conservation organization WWF.
President Prabowo, accompanied by his son Didit Hediprasetyo and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, arrived at Lancaster House ahead of the monarch, ANTARA journalist reported.
The president was welcomed by his younger brother Hashim Djojohadikusumo, who serves as his special envoy for climate and energy, along with Dominic Jermey, the British Ambassador to Indonesia.
King Charles arrived shortly afterward and was greeted directly by President Prabowo at the entrance before the two leaders proceeded to a 45‑minute semi‑formal meeting, held over tea.
During the session, Prabowo introduced his son and cabinet secretary to the British monarch.
Also present were Indonesia’s Environment Minister Hanif Faisol Nurofiq, Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni, and Budiman Sudjatmiko, Head of the Poverty Alleviation Acceleration Agency (BP Taskin).
Following the meeting, King Charles departed Lancaster House on foot, with President Prabowo leaving shortly after to continue engagements at St. James’s Palace, where the two held a closed‑door discussion.
President Prabowo is scheduled to depart London for Davos, Switzerland, where he will deliver a special address at the World Economic Forum on Thursday, Jan. 22.
