1/2 head lettuce
1 bundle hen ramen
2 Tbsp sesame seeds
.5 cup slivered almonds
4 inexperienced onions
Dressing: .5 cup oil. 2tbsp sugar, 3 tbsp vinegar ramen seasoning. Costume and let sit in fridge for an hour or extra.

With the dried shrimp make a shrimp sambal!
-dried shrimps
-onions
-garlics
-small piece of ginger
-turmeric (1 tspn)
-chillies
Fry them all together in quarter cup of oil. Once they're done. Blend it all up until u get ur desired consistency. And fry them back in until the oil is separated.
Extra tip:
– eggplant and shrimp sambal is the best!!
-stirfry the eggplant first and then add the sambal later on!
We're Australian, and I've never had a problem using up dried shrimp. The problem was hiding it from my kids who would steal the container from the pantry and eat the lot surrounded by the cats and dogs! 🤣🦐
We also fry them and add to Gado gado
Spices don't go stale you just need to sun dry it for the moisture to evaporate, then in a dry pan toss it on medium heat and it's back to normal 😊

Dried shrimp is a great additive for a punch of seafood flavor in stock and soups 🥰
Maybe you could try the classic Spanish Mediterranean salad. It is in pretty much every restaurant or bar and I think it doesn't get the recognition it deserves. There are many versions but it mainly consists in chopped iceberg lettuce, sweet onion, tomato, olives and from there you can start adding some grated carrot, tuna, sweet corn or any other topping of your choice. The dressing is all about the olive oil, a bit of white wine vinegar and a pinch of salt. I hope any of you reading gets to enjoy this refreshing salad, que aproveche!
That papaya salad, you can subs the green papaya with plain cooked instant ramen too. And add a little bit of that ramen seasoning according to your taste.
For me, the must items in gado-gado are kangkung (water spinach) and fried tempeh.

In Indonesia we also have karedok. The ingredient is usually similar with gado-gado. The different is only on the vegetable, it's raw, not boiled or cooked.

Leftover dried shrimp? Eat it! Or add on to your fried noodles or fried rice, or even fritatas, just just fried eggs maybe (in smaller pieces). Pretty sure someone else will add on more ideas on the leftover dried shrimps

The name of Salad from Indonesia is Gado Gado which means Mix Mix so you have to mix all the ingredients before eating it.😄😄😄

If you have the problem of just needing one spoon of something I highly recommend a bulk food store where you only pay for what you need. Saves on packaging too and much better for the environment.

Here in Utah we have a salad similar to the Ramen salad. It uses a head of cabbage instead of lettuce, and you toast the almonds and Ramen noodles in the oven first. Really good!
