The Merapi volcano in Indonesia simply produced a big volcanic eruption round Midnight on March ninth, 2022. This despatched a superheated present of volcanic gasses to the south generally known as a pyroclastic move, which travelled 5 kilometers or 3 miles downslope. Small quantities of ash additionally fell over the encompassing panorama, producing a lightweight dusting across the volcano. So, what’s going to occur subsequent? What evacuations must be ordered? This video will reply these two questions and focus on the continuing eruption.

CORRECTION: It appears that I misinterpreted the lava-avalanche earthquakes as harmonic tremor. As alkautsar corrected me below, no such harmonic tremor has occurred since late 2020. If harmonic tremor were to occur (it isn't), it would be indicative of a major imminent eruption.
Original Comment: This new eruption from Merapi, although relatively large, was luckily fairly harmless due to the lack of tourists near the volcano (at midnight). Merapi in the past has produced far longer reaching pyroclastic flows, including one that travelled 15 km in 2010 (during a VEI 4 sequence).
That's some pretty photos with the moon. But that has to be old because there isn't a full moon yet.
0:15 aka a lavalanche
Amazing to imagine what is goin on inside this planet! Oasis of the Cosmos, Earth! The more we see what is in front of us the more we see what is beyond us. What it takes to explore the depths of the Earth is what it takes to discover the expanse of the Cosmos!
Please make video of Bromo volcano, thank you
I dreamt about a volcanic explosion Wednesday night and told my husband about it when I woke up. This is crazy.
A lava dome collapse avalanche needs to be called a Lavalanche going forward, it's too good!
A curious thought; I wonder does lunar gravity have an effect on Earths magma? Seems likely to me.
Wow this mountain is only 22Kms away North side of my backyard.
1:54 random piece of trivia: In your video explaining about Merapi's origins, you mentioned the hills Turgo and Plawangan
Both hills are visible at 1:54, Turgo on the left and Plawangan on the right
Mother earth had enough of humans and now constantly erupting volcano's and release dangerous viruses 😐
My God Brother Rob turned Me on to your channel.
May The Creator Bless You All that are pure of heart
Woah!!!!! I’m a stop you right there. Are you seriously telling me that there is a whole field of scientists that agreed to designate the term of lava flowing down a mountain as ANYTHING other than a LavaLanch? Did the unique opportunity just…. Fly straight through there ears?
Censored for my safety , don"t make me laugh….
It would seem that a great many volcanoes have become quite active in the past couple of weeks. It would appear Mother Earth has had just about enough of all the events being wrought by mankind and is working to erase not only the population, but also the destruction incurred on the Earth by humans.
Thank you
volcanoes erupt! nothing to see here
Why isn't the term 'Lavalanche'?
What do you think about earthquakes in Croatia? It's shaking us for almost 2 year now after 124y of silence.
Another excellent video. Thanks! 🙂 Your voiceovers have definitely improved since first I started watching, but I would love to see a more natural, dynamic and adaptive inflection in your voice. If every sentence could not end on a slight up and then repetitive, monotonous downwards inflection to end, then we all could much better concentrate on your really, really good information. I love your vids. I just wish you could iron out this vocal quirk as it is very distracting. Either way, keep up the excellent work, and I will keep watching regardless. :)7
I can't even imagine what it must be like to be at home and see this type of erupting volcano from your backyard… It would be horrifying and mesmerizing at the same time.
