Within the period of New Area, billionaire Elon Musk is blazing the path. He’s constructing a huge starship to fly people additional than ever earlier than.
Within the tiny Texan hamlet of Boca Chica, an enormous rocket is being constructed and examined. It’s Elon Musk’s Starship, a 120-metre-high spacecraft whose mission is to move people to the moon and past, to Mars.
Musk and his firm SpaceX are on the forefront of what’s being known as ‘New Area’, the push to commercialise the house sector.
His ambition is extraordinary; he needs to colonise the Pink Planet.
“It’s useful to have the target of a self-sustaining metropolis on Mars. This needs to be the target”, says Musk.
In his quest to excellent the Starship, Musk has been blowing up prototypes.
“He does not actually care if it is messy, he doesn’t actually care if it seems to be chaotic, he is attempting to go ahead into the long run as quick as potential”, says house author Eric Berger.
However the mighty rocket has its critics, together with a former head of NASA, Charlie Bolden.
“The problem for me as an enormous fan of SpaceX, however an enormous sceptic about Starship is the truth that it is so large, it is so large”, says Bolden. “If Neil Armstrong had been alive at present to speak to them, he would in all probability say, “That’s the dumbest factor I’ve ever heard.”
US correspondent Sarah Ferguson heads to Texas to see Musk’s house base up shut. She joins a band of devotees in Boca Chica, from Gene the native surfer to MaryLiz and Ryan who’re dedicating their lives to documenting the billionaire’s house odyssey.
She speaks to members of the ‘house institution’ – former and present NASA executives who’ve determined to just accept and work with the good disruptor. NASA not too long ago awarded Musk a multi-billion-dollar contract to construct its subsequent moon lander.
“I feel really this shall be an ideal instance of ‘New Area’ and ‘Outdated Area’ assembly collectively in an important new mission”, says Kathy Lueders, head of the NASA mission to ship people again to the moon.
Sarah travels to Florida’s house coast to witness the launch of SpaceX’s Inspiration4, the primary time civilians have flown into orbit.
Musk is a polarising determine, however he’s modified ceaselessly how people view house.

Big thanks to Cosmic Perspective, SPadre and Everyday Astronaut for being generous with their time and footage, it helped us immensely in making this show.
This was the last episode of Foreign Correspondent for this year, we are taking a short break before we begin working on the next season over summer. We'll be back in February next year.
Thank you for watching ! 🚀🚀🚀
Why would man think that Jehovah would allow civilization on Mars when you don't even take care of Earth. also how to they plan to get pass the Van Allen belts?
I really do hope Victor Glover is the first black man on the Moon! Along with the first female on the Moon in 2024!!
It is likely that the WH is causing this delay as it is openly known that Joe does not like Elon!
🌗🎧Not overtly melodramatic but vivid encouragement.
One thing that no one mentions – radiation in outer space and sun fares which could destroy Space ships. Next what if flight to Mars fails will goverments step in?. The real answer is that AI will end man's exploration of space and create an AI space exploration!. Musk spaceship to Mars will see USA claim Mars for America!. This is why AI will stop humans visiting Mars!. Why waste money- androids can do a better job than humans!. Elite dream of permanant base on moon and Mars!. AI says humans are a liability in Space!.
Good luck to all people who believe in hope of wonders in tehnology progress.
Every step is crucial that we evolve everyday..
We must combine are resources and share it more brains more achieve.
How is this guy clearly doesn't know what he is talking about 23:37.
He's skeptical because Starship is too big??? Legit Starship+Super-heavy just a few meter taller than the Saturn V. And even this Saturan V is a tall rocket that still managed to take people to the Moon.
His "logical" makes no sense what's so ever. Definitely as of now he's is one of my most disliked people that I got to meet. Glad he's not in charge of NASA.
where can i get Mary Liz Benders piece that she composed
For anyone who liked this, I recommend you watch Everyday Astronaut's full 3 part interview and facility tour with Musk. There is some pretty bad forklift noise near the start, but then it's all good.
Brownsville is dangerous. I had 15k worth of camera gear stolen from me there last summer.
Awesome 👌!
Is amazing 👏
So much systemic racism at NASA.
🎆👀🚀💑💃Spectacular 'New Space' Space X 's Mission🌞😍🌠👌
Raise your hand if you are dumb enough to want to go to Mars. There is nothing going on but death 💀 on Mars. It’s a one way trip.
near the top of historical figure? are you kidding me? Without Elon my life would be pretty sad and disappointing. He would go down in history the most ambitious, visionary and capable human of all time.
Boca Chica. Southwest TX. Not Southeast TX.
Elon should send Tim Doug to space one day
Neil Armstrong is not still alive (23.56) … HOWEVER … Buzz (Lightyear) Aldrin still "IS" alive … so why not talk to him about the stability of the lunar surface, along with all of the ten or so other Apollo astronauts that are still alive that actually walked (and DROVE!!) on the surface of the moon.
Epic show! Too bad you couldn't find Jim Bridenstine for comments. He was spot on as the point man to make sure the commercial crew program has the full support to get the last mile. Everyone has their favourite Bond actor…. I have my favourite NASA administrator.
👆My name says the purpose of this comment yep it is
Mainstream media here ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox News, CNN should all be embarrassed that a documentary of this type with that amount of content from all sides of the issue was done by a Network outside the United States ., no wonder you find the best coverage of this project online….. the good the bad the ugly and everything in between it is absolutely embarrassing that the science Communicator community does a better job covering this than mainstream media which has better equipment better funding and more personnel
Wow. This is an amazing documentary from a non science related mainstream media. Also a big kudos for including interviews and footages from the space community.
Wow
At 2 minutes and 38 seconds that's the stuff you want to see. That's a future space scientist right there! impressions are important!
This makes me proud to work at spaceX 🚀
Fantastic 👏👏👏
